Cronología

The film “Cronología” is as a jigsaw puzzle that evolves from taking apart images of found footage originally shot for the architectural project Neue Heimat, -a project in charge of rebuilding Germany after the war. Disassembled, the copious found footage comprised of material recorded in different decades, colours, and styles is then put back together by a new perspective- that of the artist as much of that of the viewer- to create through this process a piece with an entirely new meaning.

As a result of this re-contextualization of the images, a fictional non-linear story develops in an atmospherically tight, intense and mysterious cineastic experience that envelops the viewer.
As part of the Next Generation Roll of German Films in 2010 “Cronología” premiered in the framework of Cannes film Festival and was presented in several renowned international film festivals around the world.
