La Llorona
The homonymous mexican legend of “La Llorona” speaks of a woman who having murdered her children, forever dwells in sorrow, her screams resonating in the empty streets at night. Several horror films of the different version of this legend have been made. The children in this film, upon seeing one of them on TV, feel hunted by the spirit of La Llorona.
Their powerful fantasy guided by their fear, will unleash a chain of events that leads them to become a part of this legend themselves.
Shot in Puebla, Mexico, this s3D short film portrays the fear and beauty driving the fantasy of the children in this story as their powerful imagination and their fear turns their nightmares into reality. Creating an atmospheric haze the film seeks to embody the thin veil separating reality from fantasy taking on the magic point of view of the children in the story.
